MEET KYLE

A health care policy expert, volunteer first responder, and Suffolk County native, Kyle Hill is a dynamic community leader with the experience, values, and commitment to end the Congress of Chaos in Washington and to deliver for Long Island and New York’s 1st Congressional District.

Raised in Farmingville, Kyle graduated from Sachem School District and Stony Brook University with a master’s degree in Health Care Policy and Management. Kyle then served 10 years on Capitol Hill as a senior legislative aide developing policy to help seniors and working families. Kyle currently lives in Port Jefferson Village with his partner, Greg.

The Experience to End the Congress of Chaos and Deliver for Long Island

A veteran policy-maker working with two senior members of Congress, Kyle deeply understands how policy affects real people and how to get Congress back to work for us. His expertise in health care policy provides a nuanced understanding of the challenges facing individuals and families, particularly in the realm of affordable and accessible health care, including access to abortion and reproductive freedom. Throughout his Capitol Hill career, Kyle tirelessly advocated for policies that strengthen, uplift, and grow the middle class.

A Long Island First Responder

Kyle Hill exemplifies a strong sense of community service that we need more of. As a volunteer Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with Port Jefferson EMS, he has not only responded to emergencies but has also actively engaged with the community to ensure the well-being of his neighbors. He has worked hand-in-hand with the police and other law enforcement agencies to keep our community safe – work he will continue as our next member of Congress.

I AM RUNNING TO…

  • Congress has been hijacked by MAGA extremists and we need leaders who respect the office, our country, and its people. Whether it's their inability to pick a leader, pass an updated federal budget, or adhere to our American democratic principles, the GOP controlled House has shown voters again and again that they are unfit to govern, unable to deliver for the people, and unwilling to put country before party.

  • My platform is rooted in the concerns of working families on Long Island, advocating for the reversal of GOP tax policies that have taken cash out of the hands of Long Islanders. My priorities include scrapping the cap on state and local tax (SALT) deductions and raising the mortgage interest deduction limit – two of the few tax policies that reflect the high cost of living on Long Island and directly benefit middle class families.

  • Long Island’s harbors, bays, and beaches are the foundation from which our local economy is built and protecting our environment means protecting Long Island jobs and businesses. Tourism is a $6.3 billion industry on Long Island and is an economic engine for countless small businesses. I will work with our local government and fight in Congress, to make sure that Suffolk County gets its fair share of federal dollars to protect our beaches and keep our water clean and safe.

  • I was on the steps of the Supreme Court when Roe was overturned and I will never back down on fighting to pass the Women's Health Protection Act - which will finally enshrine the right to abortion into federal law and protect reproductive freedom from the radical Supreme Court. While New York protects abortion access, make no mistake that if and when the GOP controls Congress they will use their power to force a national ban on abortion.
